This alt-pop duo first began sharing their music on SoundCloud in 2019, before releasing their debut single why don't u love me and their EP how can i pretend?.

The band consists of Croydon-raised Olivia Hardy, 17, and her brother William Gao, 20, who’s also known for his role as Tao Xu in Netflix's Heartstopper, which featured the pair's track ur so pretty in its Season 2 finale. Wasia Project have sold out their upcoming UK tour, playing at London's Heaven and Manchester's Gorilla in February, and are also due to support Tom Odell on his 2024 tour.
